ARCA Sim Series Rules & Regulations

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • During the Race session, drivers are NOT permitted to communicate at any time except using the Whisper Function of Teamspeak to talk to Team Mates.

  • Keep in mind this is a simulated race and there is a high level of concentration that is required for most.

  • Drivers should keep their disagreements to themselves until after the race is over.

  • If during a race a disagreement occurs one of the Admin’s will issue a warning when it has gone on too long.

  • All Drivers MUST have a custom League Skin ready to enter a race. The League uses exact Pit Stall Entry Information. Using a non-League Skin results in errors during lineup. Race Control declines Entries who do not submitted a custom skin!

  • If that warning is not adhered to then further, more severe action will be taken.

1. PASSING UNDER CAUTION:

  • Racing under the yellow is not permitted! When a yellow is displayed, hold your position and be aware of track conditions. If a driver is involved in an incident that causes or brings out the yellow, he loses any or all positions in the time it takes him to recompose himself and re-enter traffic. This includes those that spin getting back to the yellow flag.

2. LESS THAN 10 LAPS TO GO:

  • If a caution should come out with 10 laps or less all cars 1 lap down or more are expected to enter pit road on the 2nd caution lap. This doesn't mean you actually have to enter your pit stall but you are to drive down pit road and wait for the Official at the end of pit road to release you, so watch the PitExit Lights. If blinking RED, then you have to wait until the blinking RED Lights will vanish! This will allow all cars racing for position on the lead lap a chance to race for the win. Following this procedure will result in lapped cars maintaining their respective positions behind the lead lap cars for a single file restart.

3. BLOCKING:

  • Intentional Blocking like changing lines frequenty to defend your position at the expense of safety is illegal and will be sanctioned!

  • Intentionally falling back or slowing down to give a Team Mate a chance to check up behind you, is illegal and dangerous. This will be sanctioned against you! (Illegal Team Order). An exception of Falling Back for helping Team Members is however allowed on Super Speedway under the premise that you do NOT block or harm someone else´s race. If you cause an Incident because of this, you will be sanctioned very hard!

  • Team Orders are generally disallowed!

4. The Lucky Dog Rule:

  • In the event of a Full Course Yellow Caution, a Lucky Dog Recipient MUST overtake the entire field on the OUTSIDE/RIGHT lane, while all other cars have to stay on the INSIDE/LEFT lane. This will happen as soon as the entire field crossed the S/F Line and the field order got frozen by the game itself.

  • The Lucky Dog must then directly do a drive-through Pitlane (You may or may NOT use your Pitstall to be served by your Pitcrew).

  • On the 2nd Caution Lap the Lucky Dog must again do a drive-through or may pit at this time. This ensures that the Lucky Dog gains no advantage over others.

5. The Yellow Commitment Line:

  • Passing below the yellow line at plate tracks (Super Speedways) is not allowed unless you are forced there by another driver. If you accidentally drift down while trying to pass, back off and resume your position prior to going below the yellow line!

6. STARTS & RESTARTS:

  • Restarts after a Yellow Caution are Double File Restarts IF there are lapped cars in the field. Lapped cars have to line up on the INSIDE (left side) while the Lead Cars line up on the right side.

  • Overtaking on the left side before the Start/Finish Line is forbidden. If violated, the Game will issue a Stop&Go Penalty which Race Control will NOT clear!

  • Every Driver has to maintain a steady pace until the Green Flag is waved. Select a proper gear to prevent wheel spin and to avoid an unnessesary and dangerous check-up of the entire field.

7. COMMUNICATION:

  • All drivers are required to be logged into the League Teamspeak Server.

  • Drivers must be able to hear the Admin’s during the race. There will be a one (1) race grace period for any driver experiencing technical difficulties.

8. Penalties and Probation explained:

  • New Drivers will race on Probation for at least 4 consequtive Race Events. After that Race Officials will decide upon the Results if the Rookies shall be allowed to race regulary or not.

  • Penalties will be decided by a Race Official Commitee and will only analyze the Yellow Cautions recorded by the Result Export of the Game. Any Driver who wish to protest a particular Driver must do this by contacting Race Staff via PM and ONLY via PM through the Forum.

8.1 Penalty Points Overview:

  • -10 Race Points - Dangerous Changing of Lines incl. a Collision with another Driver

  • -10 Race Points - Dangerous Bump Drafting causing a Yellow Caution

  • -5 Race Points - Self Spin causing a Caution
